In a back-and-forth contest that showcased high school baseball at its finest, Cole Valley Christian outlasted Homedale 13-12 in dramatic fashion Monday afternoon.
The game featured multiple lead changes, with the Chargers overcoming a late 12-10 deficit in the bottom of the seventh inning. Chad Timmons delivered the decisive blow with a three-run single to complete the comeback for Cole Valley (11-2).
Homedale (8-1) showed impressive offensive discipline throughout, drawing 11 walks and building a 9-5 advantage after a six-run fifth inning. The Trojans appeared poised for victory after scoring three runs in the top of the seventh.
