𝐆𝐑𝐈𝐙𝐙𝐋𝐈𝐄𝐒 𝐃𝐎𝐌𝐈𝐍𝐀𝐓𝐄! Fruitland takes down Payette 12-2 in Game 3 of 4A Snake River Valley Districts!

The #1 seeded Grizzlies (now 22-0) proved too much for #4 Payette (12-10) in Monday’s playoff matchup. After Payette grabbed an early 2-0 lead in the first inning, Fruitland responded immediately and never looked back.

𝐆𝐀𝐌𝐄 𝐁𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐊𝐃𝐎𝐖𝐍:

Payette struck first with Darrien Pecuna and Jayden Barrera each bringing in a run in the top of the first. But Fruitland answered with 3 runs in the bottom half, taking advantage of a Payette error along with Landon Bushong’s RBI single and Sutton Fitch’s RBI walk.

The Grizzlies added another run in the second inning on Coye Coffman’s groundout, then blew the game open with a MASSIVE 6-run third inning featuring:

• Jayden Grosdidier’s RBI single
• Nate Grosvenor’s 2-RBI triple
• Coye Coffman’s RBI walk
• Quinn Hood’s 2-run homer to right field

With this win, Fruitland advances to face Homedale (who defeated Cole Valley 8-5) in Game 6 at Fruitland on Tuesday, April 29th. Payette will now face Cole Valley at Storey Park in an elimination game (Game 5) on Tuesday.
