Homedale defeats Cole Valley 8-5 in Game 4 of 4A Snake River Valley Districts!

The Homedale Trojans (now 18-6) overcame a late deficit to defeat Cole Valley Chargers (21-4) in Monday’s critical playoff matchup. With this win, Homedale advances to face Fruitland in the winner’s bracket while Cole Valley drops to the loser bracket against Payette.

𝐆𝐀𝐌𝐄 𝐁𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐊𝐃𝐎𝐖𝐍:

Homedale struck first in the opening frame with Carson Fine’s RBI single giving them an early advantage. The game remained tight throughout with Cole Valley battling back to tie it in the fourth inning on Blake Wilson’s double, Tyler Romine’s groundout, and Lucas Guray’s RBI single.

The Chargers took a 5-4 lead in the fifth when Wilson hit a sacrifice fly, but Homedale wasn’t done yet. The Trojans mounted a decisive four-run rally in the sixth inning featuring:

• Chance Martell’s sacrifice fly
• Carson Fine’s RBI groundout
• Lukas Hall’s RBI single to center
• Wylee Bidiman’s RBI double down the left field line
