The Pirates (now 13-10) showed incredible resilience in Tuesdayβs elimination game, taking down the heavily favored Chargers (21-5) with a dramatic 8th inning explosion! Cole Valley is now eliminated from the tournament and will await a possible at-large bid to Regionals.

Cole Valley struck first in the fourth inning on Eli Hambyβs RBI single. Payette answered in the fifth, scoring on a wild pitch to tie the game at 1-1.
The game remained deadlocked until the EIGHTH INNING when Payetteβs offense erupted for FIVE RUNS on three hits, including Jayden Barreraβs clutch two-run double that broke the game open!
